Rapid Transformational Therapy

What is RTT?

RTT stands for Rapid Transformational Therapy. It is a hypnotherapy method that combines hypnosis with elements from psychotherapy, NLP and cognitive behavioural therapy, among other approaches.

RTT and NLP

In common

RTT has points in common with NLP: both consider how beliefs, language and learned patterns can influence the way you think, feel and act.

The difference

RTT is not the same as NLP; in RTT, hypnosis is used to explore beliefs and make room for a different perspective.

Origins

How did these beliefs develop?

You were not born with all the beliefs you now hold about yourself. As a baby, you had confidence and believed you were lovable. As you grew up, you began to believe different things about yourself. Those beliefs may have influenced the choices you made and the results you achieved.

During an RTT session, you explore under hypnosis where a belief about yourself or a situation may have come from. You begin to understand yourself better and see how your perspective can influence the way you respond and act.

Change

Changing your perspective

When you understand why you see yourself or a situation in a particular way, you can also recognise that you have the power to change your perspective. You can learn to regulate your emotions, think more calmly about situations and focus on solutions.

Perhaps your brain is still responding from a sense of unsafety you experienced as a child. But you are an adult now. You are no longer that child: you have different options and can take responsibility for your life. From a greater sense of calm and safety, you can act differently, make different choices and move towards different results.
